The Bazooka Companies, Inc., is seeking a Temporary Quality Inspector for our Scranton, PA office


With iconic brands including Ring Pop®, Push Pop®, Bazooka® Bubblegum, & Juicy Drop®, The Bazooka Companies, Inc. is one of the leading manufacturers & innovators of non-chocolate confections in the US.


Duties under the direction of the QA Manager:


  • Conduct (safety, performance, etc.) inspections of confectionery products (during development, 1st piece and container deliveries) as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to specifications
  • Responsible for monitoring inspection results and determining trends
  • Responsible for accurate record keeping
  • Member of the product and vendor qualification team
  • Member of the 1st piece sample review team
  • Provide feedback on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Assist in investigating consumer complaints
  • Assist in updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and specifications
  • Assist in updating packaging specifications
  • Special projects
  • Other duties as assigned





  • Experience working in a food manufacturing environment preferred
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills
